Setting a New Benchmark for Industrial Excellence and Sustainable Growth

Osiris Resources is advancing the development of a world-class phosphoric acid and fertiliser complex at Safaga Mining Port, Egypt, a cornerstone investment in Egypt’s transition from raw phosphate export to value-added industrial production.

Located within the Golden Triangle Economic Zone, the project is a transformative step in unlocking the full potential of Egypt’s extensive phosphate reserves, driving downstream beneficiation, job creation, and export diversification.

In Phase One, Osiris Resources will construct a cutting-edge facility capable of processing 1.5 million tonnes of phosphate ore annually, producing 350,000 tonnes of high-purity, merchant-grade phosphoric acid (54% P₂O₅).

Phase Two will expand operations to include MAP and DAP fertiliser production, increasing the processing capacity to 3 million tonnes of phosphate ore per annum and establishing Osiris as one of Africa’s leading integrated fertiliser producers.
